Hello again, everyone! I am back with more photos of our summer trip!
After Norris Geyser Basin, we took a hike up to Artist's Paint Pots. I got some neat photos along the way!
And then the paint pots! It was so interesting to see bubbling, boiling mud. It was a little bit amusing as well!
The view from the top of the trail was breathtaking.
I didn't realize at the time, but this pool is shaped like a heart! How fun is that?
The paint pots were our last stop for Day 1. On Day 2 we set out to see the greatest attraction at Yellostone: Old Faithful!

There is a neat story about how we got to see Old Faithful go off. There were hundreds of people gathered around Old Faithful when we arrived, so we walked over and decided to wait and see if it was going to go off soon even though we had no idea when it was supposed to. Within about three minutes of us arriving at the geyser, it began to go off! We were not rushed, but there was no wait either! Later in the day, we came back, got dinner at the visitor center, and sat at a table by a window that looked out toward the geyser. There were tons of people gathered around it again, so we figured it would probably go off again soon. We watched it all through the meal, but nothing happened. We went outside and some of us walked over to the geyser. Again, in just a couple minutes, it went off again! It was such a neat gift from the Lord, and a reminder that He cares even about the little things, and delights to give good things to His children.
While at Old Faithful, we also got to go inside the Old Faithful Inn.
It is a huge, amazing old log hotel. It was so much fun to be able to see it!
